Beauty Of Belligen

A city that was full of hippees in the 1960s had really kept its charm with a laid back atmosphere where there are the cutest cafes, restaurants, old medical stores, boutiques, the library and many spots in town.

The principles of the 1960s seems to still be present with families and kids casually dressed, peace, love, happiness, and good vibes. They give out free pantry food and free books around the city, free community food gatherings, free wine tastings, free items of food in the grocery stores etc. There are events each week that support Mental health and people are spreading kindness in this small city, which was very evident by the first interaction with my Australian friends.

It is definitely a coffee scene in Australia with the best options and this European twist with food. Zuchinni fritters, curries, tuna and corn balls, sweet potato chicken, mini canapees on rye bread with fresh beets, avocados, tuna or chicken- just outstanding food-great food scene.

There is the Belligen highschool, Memorial hall, courthouse, St. Andrews church, two grocery stores, lots of boutiques, antiques, and a golf club.

I walked through these neighborhoods looking at the peaceful homes way up in the hills with white picket fences, beautiful flowers, and landscaping. People all waive "Hello" and are very friendly.

A Pleasantville of People who are being genuine and living good lives I think so....and I hope.

To be continued......
